Workshop on wetlands and blue carbon

On 4th February Trinomics, Ricardo and the Blue Carbon Lab hosted a workshop on behalf of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), part of the project "Studies in Support to the Implementation of the Ocean Mission – Wetlands and Blue Carbon."

The online workshop «Wetlands and Blue Carbon - CINEA Study in support to the implementation of the Mission” was attended by several C-BLUES partners, including representatives from Norway, France, Spain, Greece, Malta, the UK and IOC-UNESCO.

The workshop focused on laying out the EU’s GHG inventorying process on wetlands, map and identify patterns in and drivers behind land-use changes in relevant habitats and describe the state-of-play on measures and initiatives enhancing carbon sequestration via blue carbon restoration projects at the EU level.
